Julie Christie (4/14/1941) 68. Julie Frances Christie grew up on a tea plantation in India. After her parents divorced, she moved to Wales where she developed an interest in her high school drama classes.
The ’60s sex symbol gave compelling performances in films Billy Liar in 1963 and Darling in 1965 followed that same year in her claim to fame role in Doctor Zhivago.
Chrisite continued to act through the 1970s in films such as McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Shampoo, Nashville, Demon Seed and Heaven Can Wait but cut her acting career short and returned to Wales in 1974. Julie continues to appear in films but they are far and few between as she prefers her rural farm to Hollywood.
In 1967, Christie started a seven year relationship with Warren Beatty. She remains close to Beatty's sister Shirley MacLaine. The long time bachelorette married in 2007. She and husband Duncan Campbell have been together since 1979.

Loretta Lynn (4/14/1935) 74. Country music legend, Loretta Webb grew up in Butcher Hollow, a mining community in Kentucky. Loretta sang in church and taught herself to play the guitar. At 25, she was discovered at a Tacoma, Washington talent contest and signed with Zero Records.
Lynn quickly rose to the number one female recording artist in country music. Lynn wrote songs like Coal Miner's Daughter and You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man that portrays both her humble beginnings and womanizing husband. Coal Miner's Daughter was also her autobiography, which was made into a movie.
Loretta has penned more than 160 songs and 17 of her 70 albums made number one on the country charts. Currently she runs the Dude Ranch, an RV campground in Tennessee.
Loretta married Oliver Lynn (Doolittle) when she was just 14 years old. They had nearly 50 stormy years together before Doolittle's death in 1996. The Lynns had six children: Betty, Jack Benny (who died in an accidental drowning in 1984), Ernest (charged with DUI and vehicular homicide of a close friend in 2003) , Cissie, Peggy and Patsy. Her younger sister is country singer Crystal Gayle.
