Even though our bodies are constantly sending us messages, we get too busy to really listen or we turn to Western medicine to get a pill to fix us.
Aches and pains in the body are toxins and blockages caused by physical injuries, physical self abuse and emotional injuries and imbalances. These toxins and blockages are barriers to receiving the benefits of subtle energy.
Subtle energy is your inherent power that connects you to the infinite universe. Relax and learn to listen to it and how to use it to Anti-Age.
- Lie on the floor on a padded surface and scan your body for these aches and pain. It's important to release as much as possible.
- Relaxation may take time but recognizing the specific areas that hold injury is the first step in releasing.
- Relaxation, body therapy such as massage, energy work such as Reiki, exercise, yoga, Tai Chi, acupuncture, cleansing diets and other healing modalities should be employed until the toxins and blockages are sufficiently eliminated.
- Opening up to subtle energy is exhilarating but is, unfortunately, an unaccustomed experience. It's important to ground your personal physical energy before taking in too much of the universal energy.
- You've already started the process in step 1 and should continue with a program that feels good for you.
- It's imperative to add meditation to your journey and practice grounding techniques to keep you solidly anchored. Grounding is beyond the scope of this article but you can find helpful information at A Body of Knowledge for Empathys and Living By Design.
- After becoming aware and sensitive to your own energy field, tune into what you feel all around you. Pay attention to how you feel around different people, in buildings and in nature.
- This is your practice and soon your sixth sense will become as or even more active than your other senses.
- Pay attention to your gut feelings or Haragei (belly art or belly performance) as it's known in Japan. The Japanese respect their intuitive judgments and the art of manifesting their personal ki (energy).
- The hara (source of ki) lies just below the navel. We all know what it feels like to get "kicked in the gut" and it's instinctual to place a protective hand at the abdomen during emotional upset. Learn to listen to the belly for the positive messages that are also felt in this area.
We are meant to be wisdom-filled in our older years. Practicing subtle energy awareness will ensure you receive what is rightfully yours and enable you to give joyfully back the riches of mindful aging.
